Graph > Line Plot

Use to graphically compare response patterns for two or more groups. Line Plot is unique in that it can be used to produce two related yet quite different types of graph:

When used to compare summary values for a two-way design, line plot produces an interaction plot. To create this type of line plot, choose one of the With Symbols options described below.

When used to compare response patterns for many groups, line plot produces a graph similar to PLS's Calculate-X plot. To create this type of line plot, choose one of the Without Symbols options described below.

With Symbols: Choose one of these options to display a line plot with symbols. These choices are more appropriate when comparing relatively few groups.

One Y

Choose if your data are stacked.

Multiple Y's

Choose if your data are unstacked.

Series in Rows or Columns

Choose if your data are in a two-way table

 

Without Symbols: Choose one of these options to display a line plot without symbols. Line plots of a large number of groups can be easier to read if created without symbols.
