The natural logarithm of the gamma function defined by
The gamma function is a generalized factorial function for fractions that can be used to determine probability. Natural log gamma, written ln Γ(z), is sometimes used in computations instead of the gamma function because it is less likely to generate very large numbers that can exceed storage capability and cause overflow.
Natural log gamma is a convex function defined only for positive numbers.

In Minitab, you can use the Calculator to find natural log gamma (ln gamma) of a number. If you enter a zero or a negative number, Minitab returns a missing value (*).
