Calculating degrees of freedom

In general, DF measures how much "independent" information is available to calculate each SS.

·    DF Total = n - 1, where n = total number of observations

·    DF Part = a -1, where a = the number of parts

·    DF Operator = b - 1, where b = the number of operators

·    DF Operator*Part = (a-1)*(b-1)

·    DF Repeatability = n - (a*b)
