Choosing a comparison method
For multiple comparisons with a control:
· use
the Dunnett, Bonferroni, Sidak, or Fisher methods.
· Dunnett's
method is generally more powerful
than the Bonferroni and Sidak methods.
· Fisher's
method does not control the simultaneous confidence level.
For all pairwise comparisons:
· use
the Tukey, Bonferroni, Sidak, or Fisher methods.
· Tukey's
method is generally more powerful than the Bonferroni and Sidak methods.
· Fisher's
method does not control the simultaneous confidence level.
