Equivalence Test for 2x2 Crossover DesignMethod |
The method table shows the details of the analysis, such as the order of the treatments for each sequence. If you test the difference between the means and specify the limits as a proportion of the reference mean, then Minitab also shows the calculations for the equivalence interval.
Example Output |
Method
Treatment order for subjects in sequence 1: Generic, Brand Treatment order for subjects in sequence 2: Brand, Generic Lower equivalence limit = -0.1 × sample reference mean = -0.42503 Upper equivalence limit = 0.1 × sample reference mean = 0.42503 |
Interpretation |
For the antacid data, the treatment order for Sequence 1 was generic antacid, which is the test treatment, followed by brand-name antacid, which is the reference treatment. The lower equivalence limit is -0.1 multiplied by the sample reference mean, which equals -0.42503. The upper limit is 0.1 multiplied by the sample reference mean, which equals 0.42503.
