The binary fitted line plot examines the relationship between a continuous predictor variable and a binary response. A binary response variable has two possible outcomes, such as the presence or absence of a disease.

The fitted binary logistic model is sometimes used to classify observations into one of two categories.

A psychiatric center records these data for each patient:

·    Month of admission

·    Length of stay

·    Reason for discharge:

1: Normal reason

2: Other reason; for example against medical advice, court-ordered, absent without leave, and so on
