Use to chart a function of multiple variables on the same graph, clustered by grouping variables.

Dialog box items

Function: Choose a function.

Graph variables: Enter one or more equal-length columns of data. Minitab displays all columns on the same graph.     

Categorical variables for grouping (1-3, outermost first):  Enter one to three columns of grouping (categorical) variables. The categorical variables must be the same length as the graph variables. Minitab displays all groups on the same graph. The first variable is the outermost of the grouping variables on the scale. (To panel by one or more variables, use By Variables.)

Scale Level for Graph Variables

Graph variables displayed outermost on scale: Choose to make the graph variables form the outermost scale level.  

Graph variables displayed innermost on scale: Choose to make the graph variables form the innermost scale level.
