The - and + signs in the table represent the low and high factor settings, respectively. To determine the settings for Factor D, you simply multiply the signs for Factors A, B, and C. For example, in the first run of the design, A x B x C = (-)(-)(-) = -. Therefore, for the first run of your experiment you would set Factor D at its low setting.
