Analyze Mixture Design

Summary

Use Analyze Mixture Design to fit a model to data collected using a mixture design (simplex centroid, simplex lattice, or extreme vertices). You can choose from six standard models (linear, quadratic, special cubic, full cubic, special quartic, or full quartic) or choose specific terms from a list of all estimable terms.

You can also select from four model fitting methods:

·    mixture regression

·    stepwise regression

·    forward selection

·    backward elimination

Data Description

Researchers in a food laboratory are trying to improve a recipe for cheese fondue. They would like to study how the mixture blend and the serving temperature of the fondue affect the flavor (Flavor).

The mixture is comprised of three ingredients: two types of Swiss cheese (Emmenthaler and Gruyere) and white wine.

Data: Fondue.MTW (available in the Sample Data folder).
