Gage R&R Study (Expanded)

Graphs - Measurements by a Single Factor - By Operator

The By Operator graph is one of Gage R&R Study's traditional single factor plots. This graph shows all of the measurements taken in the study, arranged by operator. Dots represent the measurements and circle-cross symbols represent the means. The line connects the average measurements for each operator.

Ideally;

·    the measurements for each operator vary an equal amount

·    the part averages vary as little as possible

Note

Minitab displays a boxplot if there are more than 9 observations per level.

Interpretation

The refraction data meets both of the ideal criteria above. There will always be some variation, but it appears the operators are measuring consistently. This graph is a visualization of the ANOVA table p-value for Operator (0.143).
