Means - Least Squares Means

  

The means table displays the fitted mean and standard error of the mean (SE Mean) for each level of the factors or interaction terms that you specify.

To determine whether the differences between means are statistically significant, you should conduct multiple comparisons of the means.

Interpretation

The results of the salary analysis indicate that:

·    teaching subject 3 (engineering) paid the highest average salary (3.1133, or $3113.30)

·    teaching subject 1 (humanities) paid the lowest average salary (2.1500 or $2150.00)

·    professors with doctoral degrees (degree = 3) on average earned the most for teaching a course (3.3275 or $3327.50)

·    professors with bachelor's degrees (degree = 1) earned the least (2.3875 or $2387.50)
